Have you tried downloading and installing the Garmin USB Drivers for Windows from the official Garmin website? This should resolve any connectivity issues between your Edge 810 and computer.
I have the version 2.3 of the driver installed. However SI insists that only version 2.2 is installed.

When this happens it means that probably the version on SI was not updated yet. Install the drivers, perform a refresh and the database will also be updated.
If you want to update the information by yourself, Look for the “Suggest a correction” link found on the application's page and use it to suggest updated links, screenshots, version information, etc. Note that you must be a registered user at Software/Mac Informer in order to do that. Download and install Garmin USB Drivers, turn your device on, and connect it to your computer with a USB cable. After that, right-click on your music files and select Send to > Removable Disk/Garmin device. If the device is not recognized, go to Start > Control Panel > Hardware and Sound > Device Manager and expand the Universal Serial Bus controllers list. Right-click on the drivers, select Uninstall and reboot your computer. Plug in the Garmin device and click Scan for hardware changes icon from Device Manager. Windows should automatically find and install the drivers.
